With the announcement that the lockdown is being lifted, and a lot of other countries and places opening up their doors to us, it’s clear that travel may soon be back on the cards for anyone who wants a holiday. With that being said, if you’ve picked up a vaping habit in lockdown, you might not know about the rules surrounding vapes and travel.
What we thought we would do is give you a bit of a rundown when it comes to some of the common places you’ll be staying in, and how your vape device fits into it.
Some Countries Don’t Like Vaping
First and foremost, if you’re going to go anywhere, you need to be aware that you might not be welcome with an e-cig everywhere in the world. There are a growing number of countries which don’t let you have e-cigs, and will either fine you, or throw you in a jail cell for a week, which puts you at the mercy of a foreign authority. Here’s a list of some of the places that you should keep your device away from, if you’re going on holiday there:
- Thailand
- Argentina
- India
- Mexico
- Brazil
- Egypt
Obviously this isn’t all the places, but there are a lot of areas where you should avoid if you want to use your device.
Vapes on a Plane
When it comes to vaping and flying, you’ll be pleased to know that you can take your device on board. Yay! However, there are just a couple of rules to keep in mind for the sake of doing what you need to.
There’s limits on liquid amounts, storing the device, what you can take and such. Do some research beforehand to work out what you can and can’t do. It’ll make a lot of difference to your experience if you’re better prepared.
Vapes and Hotels
Vaping is something that you’ll want to do whenever you’ve got a moment – we understand that completely. But if you’re staying in a hotel, there’s a couple of things you need to keep in mind.
First of all, you should be aware that there’s usually a designated smoking area for people to go and vape. You can’t just do it in the hotel room, usually – the management normally gets quite wound up when the room smells of fruit salads for days afterwards. But, make sure to do your research, some places are more liberal with their rules.
Final Thoughts
So, when it comes to the world of travel with your vape device, there a handful of restrictions to think about, hit not many of them, in all truth. It’s not that bad when it comes to flying and travelling, you just have to avoid the countries that don’t like e-cigs and you’ll be fine.
